The landing pattern parameter controls the angle between the foot segment and the ground at impact. By varying this parameter we can investigate how the force is applied to the body
Control which part of the foot that comes in contact with the ground first
The stride length parameter controls how long steps the model takes. one step is defined from toe-off until heelstrike e.g. when the right foot leaves the ground until it comes in contact again. The short and long conditions are made as a ±10 percent change from the mean stride length.
Control the stride length which in turn will affect the cadence
The peak ground reaction force shows how the peak of the force the model must absorb each time it comes in contact with the ground. It is denoted in units of bodyweights.
The metabolism parameter shows how much energy is needed to continuously sustain the shown running style. It is denoted in units of kilocalories per kilo bodyweight per kilometer.
